Gender inequalities are globally recognized issues addressed by the UN’s 2030 Agenda, especially in Sustainable Development Goal 5. Gender inequalities are influenced by Gender norms and stereotypes, that are socially constructed and vary widely over time, influencing roles and opportunities. Persistent inequality between men and women is observed in areas like economic participation and opportunities, education attainment, health and survival political representation. Efforts for equality, supported by laws and movements, aim to eliminate gender-based violence, promote equity, and encourage broad social and economic benefits, impacting society as a whole.
