One of the most significant events of 2024 in terms of major global issues was the awarding of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics to Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson, and James A. Robinson, three scholars who analyzed, among other things, the historical reasons underlying international inequalities.
