On March 5 and 6, the Navarra Student and Future Career Fair 2026 – a key meeting point between the educational system, institutions and organizations working with young people – was held at the Baluarte Congress Palace in Pamplona. The event welcomed 10,000 students from across Navarra.
Each year, this event brings together schools, universities, social organizations and institutions with a shared goal: to support young people in building their personal, academic and professional life projects.
Coopera ONGD, one of the two Spanish GET partners, participated in the Student Fair with a GET stand reaching 2,604 students, including those from public and charter schools, Ikastolas, secondary schools and vocational training centres. The two-day event provided a unique opportunity to introduce hundreds of students to an initiative focused on Youth Action as a tool for Global Citizenship Education.
The presence of the GET stand at the Student Fair made it possible to showcase these opportunities to secondary and upper secondary students at a key stage in their academic and vocational orientation.
The GET team shared with attendees experiences of youth leadership, youth-driven social transformation initiatives and learning spaces linked to major global challenges, such as climate change, migration and global inequalities.
Through these conversations and activities, many students discovered that social participation and commitment to their communities are also part of their educational journey and personal development.
From an educational perspective, initiatives such as GET Youth Actions show how young people’s participation can be a powerful driver of learning and civic engagement. It allows young people to become involved in their communities and supports the development of critical thinking, analytical skills, responsible decision-making and stronger democratic citizenship.
The participation of the GET project in the Student Fair not only provided information about educational opportunities, but also raised a key question for young people’s future: what kind of citizens they want to become in an increasingly interdependent and global world.
The presence of our project at the event reinforces the role of third-sector organisations as strategic partners of educational institutions, helping to broaden young people’s learning horizons and promote a generation that is more aware, more critical, and more engaged with the global challenges of our time.
Through initiatives such as GET Youth Action and our free educational resources, Global Citizenship Education becomes a powerful tool that helps young people understand the world around them and become agents of change.
