This new report explores Ireland’s progress in implementing Global Citizenship Education (GCE) within the national education system. It outlines key policy developments, including the ESD to 2030 strategy and the Global Citizenship Education Strategy, and examines how these are being applied in practice. Drawing on insights from educators and stakeholders, the report highlights opportunities such as increased collaboration, alongside challenges like resource limitations and policy alignment. The findings offer a contemporary view of how Ireland is working to equip learners with the skills to engage ethically and actively in a globalised world.
