Teachers can select individual activities or use several sections together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The resource helps students explore:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>gender roles, norms and stereotypes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>discrimination and intersectionality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gender-based violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>equality and gender equity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>women\u2019s rights and political participation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>positive action and Global Goal 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students engage through discussion, walking debates, timelines, videos, research, diamond ranking and PhotoVoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Real-world examples include women\u2019s rights in Ireland, the 1926 Census, the repeal of the Eighth Amendment, women in politics and the <strong>Housemaids Association of Ethiopia<\/strong>, supported by APA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unit also includes guidance for creating a safe and supportive classroom when discussing sensitive topics.
